Net Worth Calculator

Add up what you own, subtract what you owe — one honest number, fully broken down.

What you own and owe

Everything runs in your browser. Nothing is sent anywhere. Use one currency — convert other currencies yourself before entering them.

Assets — what you own

Estimates are fine; property and investment values move. Empty amounts count as zero.

Liabilities — what you owe

Current balances owed. Empty amounts count as zero.

How it works

List everything you own and everything you owe, in a single currency (convert other currencies yourself first). The math is one line:

Net worth = total assets − total liabilities

A worked example

Assets of $275,000 ($5,000 cash,$20,000 investments, $250,000 property) against $183,000 owed: a net worth of $92,000. Generated by the same engine as the live calculator above.

Limits

  • Property and investment figures are your estimates, not precise valuations.
  • No history tracking or account connections — a one-moment snapshot.
  • Not personalized financial advice.

Frequently asked questions

What counts as an asset?

Anything you own with value: cash, savings, investments, retirement accounts, property, vehicles. Use honest estimates — a car's resale value, not what you paid for it. When unsure, estimate conservatively.

Is negative net worth bad?

It's information, not a verdict. Most people start negative (student loans, a mortgage larger than early equity) and cross into positive as debts shrink and assets grow. The trend over years matters far more than today's number.

How precise should property values be?

Roughly right is fine. Use a recent comparable sale or a conservative estimate, and revisit yearly. This calculator treats your figure as an input, never as a market valuation.

Do you store my data?

No. Everything runs in your browser and vanishes when you leave. No accounts, no tracking of your finances.
